Having watched a lot of his fights lately, I think he's a smart fighter inside the ring, no doubt.
However, his interviews and press conferences entertain me more. The guy's often funny and always says things that are unconventional. I really have to appreciate that.
In one interview, he talked about how every weigh-in was the same with both boxers staring in each other and trying to look so tough. He has a great point. The weigh-ins always go about the same way unless somebody throws a punch which rarely happens.
Wilder said something about Fury being WWE, but I have to say. Boxing could use more of that. Why else was Ali so popular? Sure, in his day he was great, but the talking helped his popularity by leaps and bounds. Had he had silent, he would never have had such a fan base.
Plus, if you've ever watched wrestlers give interviews to hype up their matches, especially in the '80s and '90s, they could be pretty funny and engaging. That's what Fury brings to the game and even if he were to lose the rematch and retire, I would hope he would stay on as a trainer and possibly a commentator. The sport needs guys like him.
