Roman Gonzalez appreciates all the attention he has received within the past year. The flyweight sensation nicknamed 'Chocolatito' has soared to the top of many mythical pound-for-pound lists and his third straight HBO or HBO Pay-Per-View fight is scheduled for Saturday night. He has enjoyed sharing cards with middleweight knockout artist Gennady Golovkin, with whom he has drawn capacity crowds to The Forum in Inglewood, California, and Madison Square Garden over the past 11 months.

I fail to see how HBO can justify paying him higher purses at this point.

HBO can't even afford regular fights without ppv. Sorry roman

Hey roman-I know a fight that will pay you and headline a card. Give you 1 guess?

Sorry, don't really want to see a jockey fight anyway. Tyson Fury takes bigger dumps. No interest at all. Send him to Churchill Downs to make a living if he don't want to box. He will be boxing chocolatitos at the factory if he keeps taking like that!

Seriously, no disrespect but nobody knows who you are, you only got a lot of views because of GGG.

He literally does not deserve it. Based on what he can do at the gate, views, or PPV revenue. Purses were never, ever based on "skills". Unless those skills brought you a lot of fame and generate a lot of money.

I said it a while ago and took a LOT of stick. Gonzales is 115 pounds and a very good fighter. But guess what?? No one gives a ****. No one likes to see men fight other men at 115. Both guys smaller than 90% of woman. Not to mention he has zero charisma. GGG in similar spot but different. 32 years old and won't move up?? Rather fight NO NAMES at 160?? Won't move up and fight best super middles but continually calls out smaller guys. Degale, Jack ,Dirrell , Groves all give GGG all he wants. Bj Flores
