Why did Hopkins chase Oscar? Why did Floyd chase Oscar? Why did Floyd agree to fight Cotto @ 154? Why did Pacquiao go to 147? Why did Canelo accept 152 for Mayweayher? Why did Amir Khan accept 155 for Canelo? Why is Ward chasing Kovalev? M-O-N-E-Y!!! If you don't understand "business" at age 34, then you're probably very ignorant, and someone will take full advantage of you, and as a boxer, you won't be the first!
Yup. Sad thing is, is not GGG fault, its whoever is advising him. Their trying to use the Lara tactics, talk s.hit and hope the media and fans push to the point to fight is made. DLH is not falling for that again. They have the upper hand and if the WBC threatens to strip canelo, I'm sure he'll gladly relinquish the belt. When you're a superstar like canelo, you don't need belts.

lol so true...Lara had already fought in PPV event at that point, and Ward guaranteed at least 2 million. Of course Ward and Lara are not big PPV draw, but at least GGG vs. Ward or GGG vs. Lara would have sold better than ridiculous fights like Lemiuex PPV which called "Modern day Hagler vs. Hearns". And needless to say, these fights would have been better for the fans.

But they claimed that 16/1 Monroe Jr is the bigger name than Lara and Ward fight doesn't make financial sense...and refused these fights with so many excuses.

So hypocritical. Double Standard. GGG and his team don't deserve to blame somebody for avoiding him.

[QUOTE=latinlingo;16630597]GGG is the middleweight champ, always has been a middleweight. If Ward commanded PPV buys, you'd have a point. The option is 2 fold, Ward won't leave Oakland or fight overseas, GGG will fight anywhere.

do you REALLY think that Lara after getting $1 million for Zaveck was going to take a pay cut to fight GGG? You really believe that????? Cmon man......

And if you believe he wouldnt have had to take a pay cut, uhmmm, where exactly do you think the extra money would have come from to pay him $1 million (or likely alot more)? He has no fan base (15 internet nerds who would stream it anyways does not consitute a fan base) and the fight would not have been put on PPV, so where exactly are you claiming the extra money would come from to make the fight?? The Cuban TV rights?? lololololol

Unlike Haymon, K2 is not in the business of doing events that lose millions of dollars

How much was Lemiuex paid again? Putting him and GGG on PPV made money, I'm sure with 100k buys.

                      Lara HIGHLY skilled Technical Southpaw

One kind that beat him and BOTH TIMES were VERY close was a HIGHLY skilled Technical Southpaw...

I just want to see him fight a different fighter then the PUNCHING BAG, come forward, ZERO head movement types he ALWAYS fights.
