Jeff Lacy was a real hype job though.

Prior to his fight with Calzaghe, he hadn't faced anyone good and he had a really hard fight with unheralded Omar Sheika, a guy that Calzaghe stopped several years before.

The writing was on the wall.

Errol Spence has shown really good qualities that Lacy never showed prior to his Calzaghe fight. Qualities that would give Kell Brook problems. Kell Brook can't fight on the inside, he holds for dear life when someone gets close to him and it worked particularly well against Porter because Porter was smaller. Spence has a height and reach on him.

You say he hadn't face anyone good, surely that can't be an argument for Spence?

Robin Reid, Syd Vanderpool and Vitaly Tsypko were well regarded SMW's. And he beat Tsypko right after losing to Calzaghe.

You can't say Lacy hadn't fought anyone good when Spence hasn't really either. Lacy had an Algieri level fighter on his res, and then some Jessie Vargas'.

I find it funny Thurman and Brook talk about Spence the way they do. He's literally one good win away ffrom having at least as good a resume as both and they've been pros much much longer.

I generally like Kell Brook and co-sign everything he says about that assclown Khan, but he's way off base with Errol Spence. Spence is probably the guy most likely to be ruling the WW division 3 years from now, after Brook moves up to 154 and Timothy Bradley is a non-factor.

funny cuz I find myself wondering the same about Brooks.. anywho, I doubt this fight will happen- not anytime soon at least. Spence does not meet the qualifications to fight Brooks: 3-4 cab driving, 1-3 garbage man; or combination of both.

its almost become strange on nsb the backlash to people thinking spence is the real deal. i have never seen more people in full panic mode that spence might be the real deal in my entire time on nsb. what are u haters so scared of?
