Its not a great fight but necessary if GGG wants to keep the belt (which he does). Hate it or love it... or be indifferent about it... how will it do as far as ratings are concerned.

Only 2 fights from HBO or SHO have broken 1M in 2016, Kovalev-Pascal II 1.179M and Ward-Barrera 1.064M.

If Golovkin can score 1.2M vs. a bum like Wade, I'd be very impressed by that.

Golovkin will benefit from two things.

1.) New and returning HBO subscribers for the season premier of Game of Thrones, which premiers this Sunday.

2.) Daniel Cormier is injured and now Jon Jones is facing a 10-1 underdog that no one thinks has a chance to beat him. Had Cormier stayed healthy and faced Jones, There would be a massive risk that the fight wouldn't break 1M. But he got injured and the Jones fight is way less significant. Plus the Jones fight will start at 12AM EST. The GGG fight will end by then.

With that being said, GGG should do around 1.3-1.5M.
