He's already there, I had actually forgotten about him. The least he could have done was announced a fight against someone with a pulse.

Boy, just create a list of potential opponents, which you believe might be capable of defeating Stevenson, and talk ish after...

Look at what each fighter has done since that 1st fight. Fonfara is way better than that now and I can't say the same about Stevenson since he's fought worse opponents than Fonfara since their 1st fight. This fight was supposed to happen in June but Stevenson's camp said Fonfara was asking for too much. That's funny considering apparently both sides admitted that money wasn't even talked about before both camps went separate ways.

TRANSLATION: I'm still ducking Kovalev and fighting bums instead.

I have honestly no idea what you're talking about here. But the issue is Stevenson needs a half-decent opponent to maintain any sort of relevance at the top of the division. He last 3 opponents were all no-hopers. His divisional rival has just beaten Hopkins and Pascal twice, and is set to face Andre Ward.

For him to face opponents like Rodriguez or Hunter after such an awful streak already, is a black eye both to the sport and to his career. I simply listed two easy to make fights that would keep Stevenson relevant. I didn't list Beterbiev as I felt that fight seems unlikely anyway

Fonfara dropped him a time or two, nearly stopped him. But hey if you're skeered for your idol that's fine.

Stevenson is another canelo...if he dosent want Kovalev he still has Fonfara rematch or Beterbiev or someone like Gonzalez...Stevenson has nowhere to hide.

Humm! You have honestly no idea what I was talking about here.

Good!, So you honestly believe Fonfara/Alvarez could compete or defeating Stevenson?
NAH, honestly I know you don't believe in their chances to win against Stevenson, which is the simple reason why I suggest to create a list of potential opponents which you think might be capable of ***
And don't come up with Half-a-century B-hop, or All talk Pascal who also lost against that same elder man twice. It's a poor exemple...

Your point of view is completely wrong. You shouldn't look at potential opponents on who you think could personally beat him... it involves all sorts of biases and assumptions which may or may not be true. I think either could beat Stevenson, but its just my opinion. But thats simply not my point.

The correct way of looking at this scenario is pretty simple: Stevenson needs to fight a top (consensus top 10) fighter to remain relevant. Fonfara has proven that with 2 fairly decent wins, and so has Alvarez in beating Chilemba and past it Miranda - both are universally recognised as top 10 opponents. Fonfara himself proved to be a worthy contender the first time round, and has earned another shot in the eyes of many.

Whilst your English is OK, i'm really struggling to see what point you're trying to make my friend. I don't believe in a world where fighters like Stevenson shouldn't be facing top 10 competition just because you personally think he'd beat them anyway. I sure hope you don't either
