This is a Golovkin thread in disguise. Somebody probably said Floyd took a risk by moving up in weight to face ODLH and he got butthurt so he wants to discredit the accomplishment by making an entirely new thread about it instead of addressing the individual post.

Nah....Canelo and Cotto are probably better wins in hindsight.

Cotto was never that great tbh. Who did he beat? Margarito after he couldn't cheat? Sergio Martinez after two knee surgeries? most of the titles he won were vacant or he took of injured people. At 154 Cotto wasn't at his best. I believe he was at his best at 140.

Regarding Canelo... you can't ignore the fact that Canelo sucks if he doesn't have the weight advantage. (the main reason why he doesn't want to fight GGG at 160, where he would still have the weight advantage but 5 lbs is not enough for him, he needs 10 at least)

Floyd was smart (and fair TBH) because asking for 152 made Canelo weight 165 on fight night instead of 172. Floyd was probably around 157 that night, and he could take Canelo with speed and Canelo wasn't as strong.
