Oscar was coming off a KO win over Mayorga.. he picked the weight, ring size and gloves... still lost. it is a legit credible win on Floyd's resume. . what's laughable is Pac's fans bragging about beating the walking dead version of De La Hoya.
floyd was a few fights removed from 140, where he easily made weight. he went to the full 154 limit to face de la hoya, who was the WBC champion of the world. de la hoya called all the shots and made all the rules. floyd weighed in at 150, meaning he didn't even cut weight. he was a small welterweight, undersized, facing the top 154 pound champion in the world and beat him straight up.
It was a good win controversial but he went up in weight and pulled it off. My boy ggg hasn't done it and cantnelo hasn't either
Stop it. Oscar was on his way out near retirement and way past prime. He only had 2 more fights after that. He even struggled with sturm before that. Lol.

My favorite thing after the fight was over was that Oscar could not answer why he stopped using the jab. Funny how a lot of guys seemed to stop doing what they do best around Floyd.

That's why I said it was a good win I didnt say it was great. Point being Floyd risked going up in weight to fight the bigger man at a weight the bigger man was comfortable at. Floyd didn't need 4 tune ups like Ward or 6 years fighting at his made up weight class like cantnelo
