I dont think you could win a debate on this as you are ignoring many things about the fight .
Yes and no. No because you are ignoring some valid points.

You are ignoring that Oscar had only fought like once in 3 years prior to Floyd and it was a year before the Floyd fight.

You are ignoring that Floyd, who was favored vs Oscar, was a relatively close fight while Manny destroyed Oscar even though many thought Oscar would have destroyed Manny.

Oscar was having trouble against southpaws in training camp too. When he faced Manny that night, he faced an even better southpaw and got annihilated.

A prime Oscar would have done better against both fighters.

Oscar was the worst weight drained fighter Ive ever seen , thats why he got annihilated , the Oscar that fought Floyd was 20lbs larger than what Manny faced , the difference that makes is a mile high and a mile wide , if you really understand boxing and weight you have no argument in comparing Oscar in both fights , he was a shadow against Manny and a Bull against Floyd all because of weight .

It makes a huge difference .

If Manny went to 135 today and fought Loma he would get destroyed , what Oscar did was that same kinda deal he ended up dead man walking and so would Manny today at 135 .

I said yes and no. You are just saying yes which is WRONG!

Oscar was nowhere close to prime when he fought either Manny nor Floyd. That is my point. Oscar fighting only once in 3 years and was inactive for the year was not a good indication of fighting the Oscar who we knew from previous years. By then, Oscar was more promoter than fighter and his lifestyle was said to have an affect as well.

Floyd was the favorite but it was relatively a close fight. Oscar had some good rounds and some rounds could have gone either way. Floyd didn't look good in that fight. Some of his punches that the judges credited him for were often partially blocked or fully blocked by Oscar.

Nobody is saying that Oscar was at his best against Manny but people thought that it wasn't even necessary because Oscar would still destroy Manny.
Remember that all that Oscar had to do was drop 3lbs from his previous fight while Manny was jumping 2 divisions and 1 fight from 3 divisions
Manny won that one as clear as day. No questions asked. No need for a rematch. It was total inhalation.

In fact, it was the Floyd fight which gave Roach hope that Manny can beat that version of Oscar. Oscar had trouble pulling the trigger by then. Again, that was Roach analyzing the Floyd fight.

Here is Roger Mayweather prior to the fight

if Jerry Roth had given the 12th round to Oscar..fight becomes a draw. it was that close. ..the rematch was necessary, but Floyd "retired"..oh well.

hoya-floyd floyd is the favorite to win. But hoya almost beat floyd.

Pac-hoya no one gave a chance to pac. Pac brutally beat hoya in every second of the fight.

De La Hoya weighed less than Pacquiao on fight night. That fight was bullshit it can't be compared at all to the De La Hoya that fought Mayweather. GTFO silly ****.
