Why Canelo Alvarez Has Charisma

WHat makes him compelling to you?

I haven't seen it yet. He's a good fighter with the expression of an angry c*nt at least 50% of the time.

This isn't necessarily a bad thing as cheesy smiley foos aren't seen as alpha, which is crucial for a sport that demands hard azzes

He is not charismatic at all. He is just good looking, which causes a positive impression for most people. But not charismatic at all... he seems to have problems expressing himself.

He's not charismatic, he's a ginger with a mean mug. If he was Irish, people wouldn't give a ****. But because he has pale skin and a hair colour that isn't common amongst people of his ethnic group and a square jaw, people love him.

That being said, he is a decent fighter, who's had some luck/gifts in fights that could've swung either way, but champions need luck sometimes. I just wish he would deflate that ego, stop being the second coming of Cotto's Diva tendencies, and just drop his stubborn denial about his weight class. He could have a very good, and potentially HOF career (not ATG career) that is actually deserved if he does. He's got skills, he's still young and has decent power. If he has any insecurities or concerns over how he'll perform at higher weight classes that actually exist, he should just back his ability and continue to develop his skills.

Personally, I don't like him, but can acknowledge that he's one of the better fighters in the sport at the moment. He's just got to prove that those watermelon sized nuts of his aren't just for show.

I always felt he was just kind of rare in the sense he's ginger and mexican. Kind of the way that Ed Sheeran singer guy is very popular yet looking like the most unlikely pop star. there's something subversive about it.

how he speaks and what he says are unequally unimpressive. He's unbelievably boring. In contrast someone like Sergio Martinez had a way with words and held your attention. Guys like morales, margarito, maidana, Martinez, are charismatic. Someone like canelo makes me want to fall asleep. ironically reminds me of how boring cotto is, possibly even more so
