Any rugby fans here? Is making a 40+yr old comeback in Rugby anything like making a similar comeback in boxing? Or is it rougher since there is a more competitive structure, I assume, like with the NFL or NBA where you have to compete for your spot among many players & can't just fight some homeless guy like in boxing.

There is 0 chance he will ever play in the NRL.

That is the highest level rugby league competition in the world.

Mundine has been out of the game for way too long, he's dreaming,

No chance, Rugby League is the sport Jarryd Hayne left to try out in the NFL and it's considered the toughest game of them all, think NFL but without pads, u seriously think a 60kg man who will be 42yrs old be able to play against guys half his age and twice his weight?

Hayne didn't exactly set the NFL on fire, did he? Seems like he found American football a tougher game to play.

I mean, he got picked for an NFL team after only a few months playing the sport, so he did ok lol

                  ------------------

Mundine wont make it back in the NRL. Too old, too long out.

Maybe he has the contacts to get him into a squad, but to actually play and be a real performer? Cant see it. That league is tough, its come on leaps and bounds in the 2000's

Mundine is totally delusional. He was a good, but not great, league player when he was younger but he'd have no hope of returning at his age.
