James Degale vs Gilberto Ramirez: Who Wins?

Who wins between these two young SMW champions. A fight between the two would create a new lineage at in the SMW division. Both guys hold titles, both guys have wins over Super Six Tourney alumnae and only one lost between them.

After the way he beat Abraham I think Ramirez can beat and possibly KO DeGale. DeGale throws wide roundhouse punches. Ramirez is a sharp shooter and a straight puncher. He should be able to block or avoid those wide punches and counter with his long straight punches. Ramirez is undefeated and better than the guy who defeated DeGale.

Degale is more : experienced , faster ; has better head and lateral movement also he is the better ring-general - all around more skilled. Zurdos youth and physical assets would aid his efforts yet there are too many factors to overcome at this point of his career , perhaps with two more fights he begins to peak and they meet in the middle of their prime.

You don't think Zurdo can use his size to wear Degale. Let's be honest he doesn't have the biggest gas tank, in fact he tends to find in spurts and still gets tired by the 6th round.

Thats what I meant when I stated his 'physical assets would aid his efforts'. Ramirez is younger and has the height and reach advantage but I would need to see his punch stats to be sure also I think his ( Ramirez) power is overrated if you compare it with Degale at this level... I like him I think he has a promising career regardless.

Degale doesn't impress me at all. Zurdo lacks polish but he's disciplined enough to overcome an inconsistent and mentally weak fighter like Degale. Chunky won't be able to take rounds off against the big Mexican, will gas by the 6th, and then just struggle to stay in the game.

Agree that he hadn't been checked yet. Abraham has power but had no way to land it consistently throughout the fight.
