Are you making money from Canelo vs Khan fight? (bets)

If there was a moment in time when it was very easy to make money betting, I think this is the moment. You've spent years of your life wasting money and time in boxing. Now it's time to get back some.

I think it's very safe to bet for Canelo. In some bookies it's paying 30% of what you placed, so I think it's nice.

You bet 1 thousand, you win 300 hundreds. Not bad. You bet 5 thousands, you get 1.5 thousands.

    What do you think?

I can't imagine the lines will be very good. Are they? Seems that you'd have to bet a ton on Canelo to make anything and while Kahn is a live underdog, history shows us that this is not a good fight for him.
What are the odds running at? I know they won't be paying 3 fold for Canelo.

If I'm reading them correctly, you make 30% of what you bet if Canelo wins. 30% is not low giving that it's a very safe bet.

Usually safe bets give you only 10%, maybe 15%.

30% is reasonable for something seen as so one-sided. Not great money, but given the circumstances, yes it's not a bad bet, IMO.

-500 on 5dimes.. Not worth it. Under 9.5rounds at -135 seems good

I agree. I think this is one of the safest "high profile" good odds bets in awhile. I actually don't think throwing some money on specific round KO's for the first 6 rounds @ +1200 or beter (or thats what they were last I looked) which I feel pretty confident will go down & you'll end up getting paid even better. Obviously a lil more risky, but pays a lot better too. And obviously a hedge is key here if you are risk adverse or just want a no lose situation.

For example (based on last odds I saw approx.)
~$400 wins $100 on Canelo to win
~$100 wins $1,200 on Canelo to win in the 1st round (x6 for each of the first 6 rounds)

So if you bet $4,800 to win $1,200 on a Canelo win
              +
              $600 to win $1,200 on a KO in the 1st 6 rounds

If there is a KO in the 1st 6 your up $2,400 & if Canelo drops the ball & wins later or by decision your still up $600. This is a for sure put 90% of your free money on Canelo situation.

I usually place a big bet on Canelo whenever he fights and I will do so for this fight. I will probably only win a dollar for every 3 or 4 dollars I bet if Canelo wins. I don't mind because I think Canelo winning is almost a certainty. I won't bet on Canelo if he fights GGG. I would never bet against GIGANTIC G, the G monster. I think the odds will get closer as the Khan fanatics come in with their bets in the last few days before the fight. Khan and his followers are good at convincing themselves of a victory no matter how unlikely it is.

That's a good betting strategy. I'll probably just bet Canelo to win. A miracle could happen and Khan might finish the fight standing up.
