Every NBC card has decreased in ratings. Final numbers will come out Tuesday but it looks like the entire show will average 1.3-1.4M viewers.

I missed damn near the entire broadcast for the exception of the Spence scrap. Such a shame, it was an electrifying performance and a breakthrough for the young man. Better luck in the ratings department next time.

That's terrible but Saturday was as jam-packed a day of sports as you'll ever see on TV.

NBA playoffs throughout the entire day.
NHL playoffs.
MLB.
UFC on FOX.
Premier league soccer.

Not saying all of these ran head-to-head, but there was some major sports fatigue for viewers yesterday.

PBC picking Spence-Algieri as a main event and putting it on prime time NBC on such a busy day tells you they are probably not going to be working with NBC past the current time-buy deal.

I'm with you that the ratings are terrible but let's not act like every day is as jam packed as Saturday was.

You're talking about NBA playoffs every 3 hours beginning at 12.30 all the way through mid night, NHL playoffs running at a similar schedule with 4 games, 10+ baseball games, the UFC on FOX, and more.

Really tough day to compete.

Interesting to see that PBC went head-to-head against UFC on FOX. UFC won.

The thing right now is UFC has a fanbase whereas boxing has fans of individual fighters. The UFC brand will attract a certain number of fans. The challenge is to generate a fanbase for the Premier Boxing Champions brand so the ratings can be more consistent.

HBO World Championship Boxing once had that brand notoriety that attracted viewers to the programming week in and week out. PBC needs to get to that level because right now Broner, Garcia, Guerrero and Thurman are the only fighters pulling in good network ratings.

I'm not surprised. The UFC has built a machine. We (boxing fans) just gotta keep supporting the sport and tuning in to fights. People know what UFC is. Ask the average casual sports fan what is UFC and they say it's MMA. That's how well UFC has built their brand. It's like people calling a copy of something a Xerox. MMA is UFC to most casual observers.

I was at friends house that had on NBA but they were torn on what to watch and talking about how so much was on.

UFC isnt common every weekend, NBA playoffs started, NHL playoffs started, and baseball with big Giants/Dodgers game.

Finally watched this morning and Spence is legit. Pedroza has a style i enjoyed though he got ripped by "fans" in media. Glowaki i like. Russell looked fast and strong. Bring on rematch or top figgts for both if not. No more 108 ranked or 180 ranked PPV defenses.
