You Heard It Here First Roy Will Remerge And Do Things Alot Of People Think He Cant! I Myself Wont Say Hell Win A Title But He Will Win Some Fights In The Very Near Future That Cement His Legend!
Isn't it a Coincidence we are fed this before every tyson fight also.
It's hard to let it go; but you must. Roy has already cemented his place in history. He is, IMHO, one of the greatest p4p to ever don gloves. He just had the misfortune of never having an opponent who could really test him in his prime. The losses at the end of his career mean nothing in the great scheme of things; and at his age, he will not accomplish anything else of note. He's more done than a Thanksgiving Turkey at Grandma's house. Life is short and the time for a fighter to make his mark is even shorter. Roy's time has run out...he's done enough.
Good point my man, but the fact is this guy was so great in the past that im confident if he feels he can continue on its for good intentions becuz he's seen something in hisself that we just havent his last 3 fights, and he will show that by continueing to fight, and maybe rematching and beating Glen Johnson, or potentially fighting "say" Joe Cal, Mikkel Kessler, or a Danny Green, rematching Clinton Woods etc there are still alot of big fights out there for roy and if his confident enough to go into them im putting my money on him!
A win against Calzaghe after Joe's utter domination of Lacy would have propelled Roy straight back into the bigtime...It was on the table, I guess he didn't feel he could win????

I just think he remembers what he was and hates to end his career the way he is. It's the same thing with all the great ones if they stick around too long. Ali has said if he'd won his last fight against Berbick, he woulda kept going. They get used to the fame, the sound of the crowd, the "being the center of attention"....it's addictive.....and they don't want to let go. Roy's chasing that same sad dream that so many before him have IMHO.
