I have come full circle, I think GGG should negotiate the Canelo fight, as much as it kills me to say it. He needs a big name, If he could come down to 158 or 157 Canelo would have no excuse. I know Canelo must drop the belt if he doesn't fight GGG, but the only other fight at 160 is Saunders. GGG is 34 and needs a big name or else he will have to go to 168. He seems to make 160 easily enough.

When you consider all that " anyone from 154-168 " talk..... AND the fact that Golovkin is desperate for a name opponent..... how could he possibly refuse to negotiate with Canelo?

If they refuse to negotiate with the red kid, Canelo will just be added to the list of BETTER fighters that Golovkin apparently could have fought, but CHOSE not to.

Golovkin will negotiate if he wants that fight, and he will refuse to negotiate if he doesn't.

If they are willing to negotiate 157 with Brook, why wouldn't they at least be willing to negotiate with Canelo?

In fact that's the news WBC intended to communicate: they ruled for a September fight and now they say it's December... Just like that... Soon they will rule it "sometime down the line".

Spot on.. They just wanted to say "Hey, they have time until December & come December they will push it further.." Whatever happened to 15 days after the current fight to negotiate the next mandatory fight rule!!
