Slow? One of my jokes last night was that Chris kept looking up to see where the third fist was coming from. The defensive thing I can see. Thats often an issue with young prospects who've just been beating up on guys for most if not all of their career still. Defensive wizard is a high standard to put on him even at his peak doe, but I suspect his defense just hasn't been needed a whole lot thus far is the largest part of the problem & he's not called on it as much in lieu of punching his inferior opponents for most of the round at will.

And for sure after his performance last night his hype is only going higher, but ultimately thats good. Hype is good for helping guys become mainstream often times.

I don't know what style I can relate him to, he definitely isn't a defensive boxer. But this is the first time I have actually watched him so maybe I need to study up on his fights.

spence relies a lot on being bigger and stronger than his opponents. he is more a natural middleweight picking on welterweights.

          Lets go through the list

          Pac - eats shots
          Broner - eats shots
          Thurman - eats shots
          Porter - eats shots

I would say the list for defensive fighters goes like this, seeing that Floyd is retired.

1.Bradley, can be defensive when he is not trying to prove a point
2.Brook, good at slipping punches and staying out of range
          3.Spence
Didnt Mayweather have a really low connect percentage against pacquiao?
Shouldnt this speak for his defense?

            exactly
the biggest misconception of pacquiao is that he has a bad defence but his fights say otherwise
He doesnt get hit clean often because of his footwork, unsual angles, counterpunching with straight left/right jab and hook and blazing speed
Furthermore he uses his small stature to his advantage, makes him a smaller target to hit alot like bradley

Just look at the Bradley 3rd fight, Bradley barely touches pacquiao in the majority of the rounds

Ridiculous comment, he'll end up fighting in 4 divisions.

spence comes into the ring around 170 lbs. he's way too big for the welterweight division. he is like donaire, chavez jr, canelo, etc. picking on much smaller competition like a fraud coward.

i expect he will get KO'ed when he moves up to his natural weight class. but i doubt he will move up. he will stick around welterweight for most his career feasting on guys much smaller than him.

I think it was more of May not wanting to commit.

Once you commit on Pac he gets hit alot, see Marquez, and hell lets not pretend that Rios wasn't landing on Pacquiao, and hell even Algeri was landing his pitty patty jab.

Just that they had no effect.
