  • Prime calzaghe literally bodybags this era of middles and supermiddles

There's not 1 guy out there at 160 or 168 even in the same class as the legend.

Canelo - he gets dropped and probably stopped around round 10
GGG - calzaghe walks him into right hands and wins a wide decision or cuts him up like a welsh blender
Cotto - he makes him quit on his stool
Degale - would be embarrassed easily and stopped in 6
Prince arthur - beaten like red headed step child and forced to retire for good
Ramirez - maybe makes it to the 3rd before Joe unloads on him and ends it

Agree. Calzaghe overwhelms all those guys. Too fast, too skilful, throws too many punches for any one of those to beat him.

I give Degale a chance he really is a fantastic boxer. But I think realistically Calzhage outworks him over the fight as Degale tends to take breaks from the middle rounds onwards. I think you may be right Calzhage was a special talent.

I don't think any of them beat Calzaghe. GGG is a bit of an unknown - because you don't know how his power is going to translate but I can see Calzaghe jabbing his way in and out hustling and out crafting him on the inside.

To be honest, Calzaghe has the perfect style to beat Ward.

Are we thinking of the same person?

Is it the same James Degale that went to war with the extremely limited George groves and lost?
Is it the same James Degale that couldn't get a very old washed up version of bute out of there?

That James Degale has no chance against calzaghe.

de gale takes "breaks" because he is a 3 rd fighter who would collapse if he fought 4 rounds like calzaghe. Joe beats him up not allowing him to rest then easy 9th rd KO
