Lmfao at "paid his dues". I agree with what you said about Brook needing to fight a higher tier of opposition, but it shouldn't have been nearly as difficult to make the fight between the two. Also, Khan stopped paying any kind of dues the moment he started his crusade to fight Floyd Mayweather after that loss to Garcia seemed to shake/diminish his belief in his ability. Instead of going back to the gym, identifying and working on improving his flaws and becoming a better fighter, he employed a strategy to fight second tier fighters and look good/blow them out so as to look good enough that people would push and pressure Floyd into fighting him, but he failed. He then tried to do the same with Manny and failed. Then Saul's team saw that he didn't care WHO he fought, so long as it was against a "big name" and swooped in, orchestrating a GGG duck.
I've rambled on and I apologise for that, but the point I was trying to make was that the dues he paid in my opinion were wasted in the years he spent begging for a fight that he could use to cash out on his career and rep his hand speed built for him, which bums me out. He didn't build any skills around his hand speed to create an all round package, he just hoped fast hands would be enough for his entire career. Waste of talent in my opinion.
