Yes if Cotto would have edged a victory over Canelo, I think he would have realized the size difference would be too much for him to overcome against GGG, but I didn't mean Cotto barely winning. What I meant is if Cotto had handled Canelo with a clear and resounding victory, then I believe he would have took on GGG. Also Cotto vs. Khan is a far better fight than Canelo vs. Khan, But apparently Cotto's people turned Khan down, and that's what led to Canelo vs. Khan.

Everyone is afraid of GGG. Cannot blame them. A defeat from GGG stops the flow of big money from fans.

That's how. Why does GGG approve of him fighting 100-1 BUMS???

What the highest ranked fighter Pound For Pound wise that GGG has fought? #75???, #100??

Exactly. How does Floyd have any fans, is the real question. Smh. Humans are never satisfied. Canelo is the real deal and will do whatever on his own terms. GGG isn't running anything. Canelo is fighting quality opposition and isn't draining his opponents. He's making great money at 154-155lbs. He'll fight GGG when HE WANTS. Why won't GGG go up to 168lbs? Instead, he's calling out 154lbers. Smh.

Why on Earth is he fighting Amir Khan while holding a MW paper title?

He is just a strange fighter and I don't understand cheering for him.

He has a lot in common with Chavez Jr (weight bully exposed by smaller skilled boxer) but Chavez Jr was a star because he was JCC's son and kept getting a million chances... Why the **** does Canelo still have fans?

You can say what you want about GGG. I'm not a huge fan of his. I just think Canelo is a lot worse.

GGG's big crime is his trainer keeps pretending he's gonna move up in weight when its clearly not true. A little annoying but not that big of a deal.

Canelo is holding a prestigious title hostage, ducking every guy in his division while beating on 140-147 tweeners. He's been fighting at "155" for years. It's pathetic.
Who said he won't fight GGG??? He has until Sept. Last I looked they BOTH have up coming fights! And last I looked Khan just weighed in at 161.2 lbs and Canelo 163.8

A WHOPPING 2.6 lb difference??? Very few fighters fight at their TRUE weight. Most fight 1-2 weight classes below their natural weight.

Look at the HYPOCRITE Lemuix! Who couldn't even make his CATCH Weights weight. "Cotto shouldn’t be fighting at middleweight,” Lemieux said. “If you want to fight at middleweight, make 160, you’re a middleweight. Don’t be fighting catchweight. It’s middleweight.

And what he do his VERY next fight???

Most fans and boxing experts would respect Canelo if he was honest and said he knows he would get destroyed by Golovkin and he will never fight him. But he gets boxing fans excited about a big fight saying he is ready to fight him right away, knowing that he never will.

His fans should call him out and HBO do the same, he is acting like the little chicken sh** who calls out the bully, then runs and hides when he comes looking for him. His fans should make up placards telling him to wear panties and die his hair pink.

Sweet, then give up the belt and go on about your career. That leaves just one more guy with a title that can duck GGG, and that's Saunders. GGG will go to his back yard and crush him, after that, he'll have all of the major titles and be the absolute kingpin of 160. Anyone who wants anything will have to face him.

This is the part I hate about boxing. Sometimes they don't make the "big fight" til one guy has shown some *****s in his armor.

Boxing needs a centralized power structure running things sooooooooo f#cking bad. Guys (boxers, promoters, managers, networks, alphabet groups, commissions) will always take advantage of things they can when a sport has such a wild wild west atmosphere to it. Boxing needs a real power structure to it thats about that power structure looking out for boxing 24/7/365 not Canelo looking out for Canelo or Arum looking out for Arum or Haymon looking out for Haymon. I wish Mark Cuban would get the boxing bug & come into the sport with his $3B + investors money to take over. I dig PBC, but Haymon spends too much time hiding in the closet. Boxing desperately needs a leader who's willing to lead.
It certainly does. And yet boxing is so divided that creating such a power now is almost unimaginable. There would have to be one commission for professional boxing to look over and sanction fights within each state. John McCain did bring this to attention, but I'm not sure how consistent his efforts were and exactly what happened since...???

Canelo is disappointing me. I was on his side when he said 155 or no fight. Now they sound like they won't even offer 155.

It's time to start pressuring HBO. This has gone on to long. Stop approving their fights until they decide to fight each other. Where else are they going to fight? HBO holds all the cards.
I hate the whole a side bside argument but I hoped ggg would go to 155 to make it happened too. Yes I'm starting to think he wants no part ggg at all. But I think canelo would lose and lose badly so I understand why they're willing to wait for the fight.

If the fans are unhappy about it just don't put purchase his fight so he knows he won't get away with just fighting b level two division down.

Last I checked, he's fighting his 160 pound mandatory, you know, like Candela is supposed to be doing. Instead his fighting a 147 pound fighter.....at 155.

I have never felt the government can help with the change boxing needs personally. I mean look around at other sports. How much is the government involved in the NFL, the NBA, the MLB, the NHL, the PGA or other professional sports leagues? Not a whole lot typically & I imagine not at all in some of these leagues & others I didn't mention. I think boxing can only be fixed by a private sector entity like these other leagues seemed to have been created via (I don't believe any of them were a creation of the government anyway).

As for McCain I think he claimed a W for his efforts towards boxing after the Muhammad Ali Act got put into effect. I don't seem to recall much from him about boxing since outside of him backing Jack Johnson being pardoned & seemingly being in support of PBC at their initial presser.
