My Guy Won and MUST BE THE NEXT P4P KING!

I wonder how many Saturday night posts go exactly like this.

One win doesn't mean the second coming.

I understand getting excited but geez. A little realism please...

I don't just mean Spence tonight either. He looked great, sure and it was an exceptional win, but he's the next star of boxing off of that one win?

I've seen others about several other fighters, including Tim Bradley back in November after Rios. And well, we see what happened.

There was another about Crawford and sure, he's done well, but there is still more to see before he's considered the P4P king.

How about just say great win and hope to see him in with the best, which he hasn't been in with yet? These young guys will never live up to such hype.

I get what you mean...but with young fighters you just see natural progression and get excited when they pass certain tests..And Spence looked special tonight

Yea, too many people caught up in the hype.

      Spence looked great.

But let's put it in perspective - it's freaking Algieri. He was literally nobody until Pac called Mr. Fantastic to stretch his arm as far as he could in an effort to break the world record of cherry picking and reach for Algieri. He's been riding that "fame" ever since.

Spence is still a prospect basically.

I think he's a threat at WW for sure, and will be even more in the future, but people I would bet plata to beat him right now:

      Bradley
      Brook
      Thurman
Maidana (when he comes back in the fall)

      Toss ups are:

      Garcia
      Porter
      Berto
      Khan
      Alexander

I get the excitement. I do.

Just seems like a lot of jumping the gun. Won't people learn?

          Woohoo!

Best news I've heard all night, man!

That's one guy who brings the fight every time.

And this isn't hype. He's proven it.

Haha. Well, I look forward to it. I honestly thought he'd stay fat and happy and retired, but I love watching him fight. All action and he's pretty clever about it, too. I hope the lay off helps him.
