Algieri just isn't very good man.
Errol Spence's destruction of Algeri makes Khan look like a pile of sheep ****.

Power can change fights and gloss over a lot of things.
Last night showed that Spence is the real deal, but I don't dwell on the Khan performance, who for one doesn't have the same attributes/power as Spence, and also looked bad that night for Khan. To me he looked like he had left his best in the gym that night, he looked like he did against Paul McCloskey and David Diaz...overtrained.
Spence fought a great fight and he will be difficult to beat if you can't discourage him, it will take a good boxer with good defence technique and movement.
He is being moved in the right way at the right pace, lets see another step up now. I would like to see him in with a puncher who isn't elite so we can see what his chin is like. Not sure what Diego Chaves is up to but that would be a good test. Berto-Ortiz winner would also be a good fight for him. Lamont Peterson would be a good test, maybe even Robert Guerrero for his durability, and that would be a war where something would have to give.Comment

I mean, didn't we know this already? Khan is incredibly overrated by some people and that will never change. Like Khan, they will always find an excuse.
Still, let's not accidentally start taking away from Spence. Algieri was a proven tough fighter for world class fighters, and Spence ran through him like nothing. It was a great performance that showed he really is the truth.Comment

Spence has some defensive issues but the guy is coming to get his so that is bound to happen. He is generally going to inflict more damage than the takes especially at 147 where he he is a physical specimen. Khan is a different sort of fighter because he wants to box, even if he can be piss poor at it.
If they fought Spence would bring the heat on Khan, Khan would have his moments moving away but when someone is coming after Khan they usually find him and Spence is pretty destructive. Khan could win a decision if he survived the fight but it wouldn't be an easy task for him.Comment

Nonsense, Thurman got hurt badly in that fight and he only won the fight because of a headbutt that caused a cut over Collazo's eye and he couldn't continue. For some reason they didn't go to the scorecards even though it was a headbutt. He couldn't even drop Collazo. Meanwhile Khan shut him out and dropped him 3 times.Comment

"Styles Make Fights" is NOT something people say because it sounds good, it is the truth. STYLES MAKE FIGHTS! Spence Jr style was all wrong for Algeiri, he fought a athletic Pressure Boxer and couldn't get away from him quick enough because Spence Jr has better footwork than people gave him credit for and he cut the ring off masterfullyComment
