    Can You Imagine?

With the growing popularity of UFC, wouldn't it be awesome if the next superstar of boxing was someone who had a sucessful run as a boxer in his 20's, and then left to UFC and had a successful run there in his 30's as their top superstar as well? It'd be awesome to see the same person conquer both combat sports, especially if he did something as impressive as retire from both sports undefeated... Just a thought I had.

They're both combat sports, that's what they have to do with one another.

No boxer will ever been good enough on the ground to compete at length in the UFC and vice versa.

It would be a difficult feat mainly because things that are "textbook" in boxing would be considered terrible habits in mma, and vice versa. I don't think it's impossible but it would be like going from football to hockey.

1st thing is the footwork is completely different in boxing its about balance and in mma its about not having your leg kicked in half.
