It was an exhibition match between a prime 168 pounder and a 50 something great 135 to 147 pounder. Chavez wasn't supposed to go for the KO. He was supposed to take it easy on the old man unless Duran was after him hard. He gets no credit from me for this KO only credit for a the lack of class he has often showed before.Comment

Chavez never fought above welterweight. Surely you're not confusing him with his son Chavez Jnr.It was an exhibition match between a prime 168 pounder and a 50 something great 135 to 147 pounder.
