After watching Cotto get ***** slapped around by Canelo, his PPV stock dropped like an alpine avalance IMO. Why does he still think he's a big PPV draw against the Rosados of the Boxing world?!? Actually, I would like to see Cotto fight Gabe Rosado, or maybe one of the Charlo brothers. If Cotto believes he is so great, why not take on the "lesser" talent at bank easy paychecks on his way down the retirement road?!?! Because he's a little chicken ****!!! That's why!!!Comment

As things seemed to appear, Haymon wasn't about to let Jay-Z (through Roc Nation Sports) build a new promotional company off of a fighter tied to him; never said that they were friendly.
So what does Roc Nation do? They make the deal to lock up Miguel Cotto Promotions (Miguel Cotto being the crown ***el), make the deal to get Andre Ward, try to make the deal for Gary Shaw's company(which fell through), go out and pick up a nice group of young prospects for their roster, and leverage everything that they could (including their own money) to get themselves onto TV.
With an actual boxing promotional company, and solid fighters to boot, conversations about possible fights change; David Itskowich(representing Roc Nation Sports) can talk to Leon Marguiles(Warriors Boxing) or Tom Brown(TGB) or Lou DiBella (DiBella Entertainment), or any other Haymon-affiliated outfit, about staging fights between fighters that they speak for.
Jay-Z and Beyonce were at Mayweather-Pacquiao for heaven's sake (whether it was Jay-Z or someone with ties to Jay-Z, he didn't get comped those seats.

gftoh with that nonsense; how much money do you honestly think that Team Cotto was asking for to fight Gabriel Rosado (two Puerto Ricans, fighting in Brooklyn, NYC vs Philly, and other caveats would make for a decent enough event)?
Miguel Cotto fought Delvin Rodriguez for $2m (the full slate of televised fights likely ended up costing $2.5m to put on), and Cotto-Geale was on regular HBO, with Dan Rafael stating that Cotto made $15m on the fight (how he came to that number is beyond me).
Ward-Barrera (the full fight card) was put on with the televised fight card splitting up $2.4m; to argue as if putting up $2.5m to finance a Cotto-Rosado fight card is some unfathomable amount of money makes you look silly (especially when HBO could use that invested money to set up a Cotto-Marquez, Mexico vs PR, PPV for the Fall).
Cotto was paid about 15 mill for the Geale fight because that was the first fight on a 3 fight contract with Rocnation which was reported at 12-15 mil guarantee per fight. The guarantee comes from Rocnation, not HBO, now obviously they make bids on the fight like venues do, but Cotto's guarantee comes from Rocnation. Rocnation as well as HBO will make more money if the event is PPV.Comment

Murat Gassiev, promoted by Roc Nation Sports, is headlining Toe-to-Toe Tuesday (PBC of FS1) against Jordan Shimmel, after being TV chief support for his Friday Night Lights Out (PBC on SpikeTV) fight against Isaiah Thomas; for someone getting on folks who "talk shi.t without knowing facts", you sure don't follow your own advice.
