Is Al Haymon Leaving Soon?

Correct me if I'm wrong but show/hbo aren't putting out as many events basically because haymon hijacked all of their fighters. He's not leaving but be careful what you wish for, PBC is really the only organization putting out events consistently. HBO's budget for boxing is declining every year, they're decreasing the purses, they're putting more fights on PPV that don't belong, they're falling out with Top Rank.
The whole PBC is ruining and taking up all the boxing slots thing is like lazy Americans saying that Mexican illegals were stealing American jobs. How? When you won't do those jobs anyway. Same applies to PBC, they're using Spike, Fox, NBC and all those channels no promoter ever touched, but somehow PBC is stealing airtime all of a sudden. At least that was DLH and Arum's argument about PBC.
Yo, PBC is taking our airtime on Fox Sports, that coulda been us judge!
If he went back to the music biz they'd be back on show/hbo the net day.Comment

Not looking for a fanboy argument -- its cool if you look up to Al Haymon or Bob Arum or any of those guys. These are the fighters HBO can work with via GBP, Main Events, and Top Rank:

Was just saying its common sense. If you have a new competitor your own slice of the pie shrinks. If any of the factions caved in the fighters would just move to the others. No problem if PBC fails.Comment

he was fighting khan who as a bigger fan base then spenceI don't think Haymon will be leaving for a long time, but it is interesting to note the purses of this weekends NBC card.
Algieri made more fighting on Spike than he'll be making on NBC.

Rumours have it that Al Haymon flew to Mexico with bags of cash like Floyd and told Box Azteca president, ''yo, this is what we're going to do...''Comment

Of course it's a mismatch. The P4P best in the world vs. a 31-year-old guy with a 16-2 record who hasn't fought in a year.
Odds are 50-1.
Yes, it's a mismatch.Comment

Which is kind the point.
This weekend's NBC card has a much smaller budget than some of their NBC fight cards last year.
Heck, it's got a smaller budget than some Spike cards last year...and Khan-Algieri is an example of it.
This year, we see Spence-Algieiri on NBC and Beterbiev-TBA on ESPN.
Seems like a step down.Comment

It's obvious the money is getting dry. Fewer cards, long gaps between fights on these networks. When PBC launched they said these were going to be monthly series on these networks. Yet 4 month gaps for NBC, SPIKE and 8 months gap in the case for ESPN, Bounce might be canceled no card since like Jan. The overall purses on these shows are way down. Dan Rafael tweeted yesterday that for NBC Marv Albert, Bob Costas, Sugar Ray, Al Michaels are all gone. So they getting cheaper announcers too.Which is kind the point.
