The British Boxing Scene Is At It's All Time Best

This is the best era of British boxing

Many world champs, including 2 HW champs.

On top of that British fighters like Khan and Degale in big fights abroad. Then you have all these beefs popping up between promoters, and between fighters.

    Its frickin great

and there are many other talents coming through like Eubank Jr

For a very small Island, we are over achieving, i don't want to come across nationalistic, but just stating some facts, i am loving boxing right now

Its also good too see Ricky Hatton and Prince Naz training fighters

    Na.

At a glance it might look good but how many times have top British fighters, world level guys, have fought each other? We never go to to see the range of fights between Macklin, Barker and Murray. Those fools dodged each other for years. Add Lee to that list.

We never got Hatton v Witter and it's unlikely we will get Brook v Khan anytime soon. Fury v AJ is a pipe dream. Fury v Price/Haye never happened at various times. And so on.

I think it was a lot more fun when Benn, Watson, Eubank and even Collins all fought each other, then along came Calzaghe. Naz was shaking the world up as a PPV star and Lewis was the top man at HW, fighting Holyfield.

It is certainly a great time but not the best and we need more fighters to fight each other. I'm looking for Selby v Quigg/Frampton, Groves v DeGale 2, AJ v Haye/Fury/Chisora (if he wins his next fight).

Another problem is the disconnect between the fans and the fighters. Without ITV or even BBC highlights, all the best fighters are hidden behind paywalls.

It certainly is a great time for British boxing. Perhaps the best time for British boxing ever. Champion after champion keep coming from the UK. If Canelo KOs Khan does he get a place on your top 5 pound for pound boxer's list? Right now your list is 100% British boxers none of who are on my top 5 pound for pound. I have Gonzalez 1st, Kovalev 2nd, Ward and GGG tied at 3rd and Rigo 5th. Not that anybody asked me.
