There's an adeptness to John Fury when he's playing a certain type of game that has accrued him an amount of respect in some circ!es. The problem is that it's not suited to the world that his son now finds himself in. I agree he should take a back seat, but he won't.
Whilst his views on an anti-traveller sentiment are valid he'll use that to create a beleaguered atmosphere of The World Vs Team Fury. That'll be to their detriment. He's more often than not, hardheaded, dogmatic in his approach and prone to bouts of paranoia. If he was able to take a back seat he could contribute positively, particularly in terms of motivating Tyson to add a certain longevity to his career. That's not the kind of man he is though. He'll try to take over and dominate. He'll cause friction within the team and without.
It's a shame because Peter has done a fine job in the main since taking the reigns. John may well stear them towards the rocks. Whether he's more asset than hinderance all depends on how well Peter and Tyson can keep the old dog on his leash. That's easier said than done.
