Because cherrypicking an Amir level fighter isn't rewarded when you're a young boxing star

You trying too hard. It's because the tickets are expensive. This is normal for these big ppvs especially in vegas. Not sure when the canelo/cotto fight officially sold out but for the mayweather/pac fight there were tickets available within days before the fight and that went on to shatter records. We still a month away. Canelo khan without a doubt will sell out and will have the largest live gate ticket revenue of any fight so far this year.

I can only assume cuz GBP didn't get most of them before they were put on sale to sell at secondary markets like every promoter seems to be doing these days.

I bet virtually no fights would be sold out a month before the fight if promoters didn't do that. That should be illegal for promoters to do or be involved in as its basically a hustle to fleece boxing fans. Promoters give alphabet groups a run for their money in being the worst thing in boxing.

how many tickets are left? but yeah this fight is expensive, even if i was a hardcore fan of either guy i would think twice before forking $400+ for a ticket.

GGG vs. Wade i think is 30-400.

If the goal was just to sell out in the first week they could put this fight in any city in the US and charge 20 bucks a ticket and accomplish that. But the goal is to make the most money possible. There is a reason why Floyd fought exclusively in Vegas in arenas that were smaller then most NBA arenas in the country instead of bigger NBA and NFL stadiums. Because in vegas you can charge more for the tickets. You target high rollers who can afford to fly in for the weekend and spend big dough at the casinos while they are in town.
