    Can PBC make megafights?

Does PBC only produce small or medium fights to try to hype up guys that will finally fight in Showtime? (example: Jacobs vs. Quillin)

Do you think we will see a big fight within PBC? (like a PPV event)

Or is just PBC a boxing series to hype up guys?

    Thanks for your responses.

That certainly seems to be largely whats going on at the moment. I think they have had some medium+ level fights on NBC & even Spike & ESPN.

Supposedly despite Haymon's connection with Mayweather, the biggest PPV star of all time, he's got a anti-PPV stance himself so idk about this. There does seem to be an argument boxing isn't conducive to a commercial every 7 minute model with the suddenness fights can end so PPV/Premium cable might be the model PBC is stuck with if its to succeed.

I also recently heard a theory Jim Lampley has with free TV boxing. He said HBO & Showtime show you so much drama before, during & after fights that he feels like fans feel like they are missing things or getting a incomplete or lesser product with free TV boxing as they rarely show any segment before the fight about either fighter, the almost never show the walk in, they might show 2 or 3 corner discussions & even the post fight interview can be abbreviated to what premium cable shows. I see a lot of truth in Lampley's theory looking at it from a fan of watching boxing POV.

Even as a PBC fan idk if they are doing a great job of that. They'd need a figurehead of PBC in place to better hype guys too. So if that is what they are doing they aren't doing it very well.

Algieri is not a mega fight. He doesn't have it.
