Based on Martin's seeming lack of preparation for what was coming his way I don't think Whyte is saying anything THAT shocking. There is often a risk/reward aspect to taking a fight these days & I think Martin maximized his upside for sure here. "Thank you Al Haymon" lol.

Whyte fought extra ok. It's not for him to be thinking he had Joshua in all sorts issuers. He hit once. Joshua fought reckless but beat him down. Still Whyte is tough as nails. And I'll favor him vs a lot of current heavyweights.

Whyte is just a bitter AJ victim at this point.
He's acted like a scorned female since Joshua knocked him into next week, it's just sad.

He was terrible. The fact that Martin is going to go down in history as a HW champion is an embarrassment to boxing.
He was the worst champion I've ever seen. Poor skills, lack of accomplishments and the only reason he was relevant was because he had luck on his side. The IBF inexplicably ranked him high enough to fight for a title shot. Following Erkan Teper's failed drug test, he moved up to face Glazkov and then Glazkov blew out his knee in the 3rd round.
All the top 20 HW's on boxrec would KO Martin. Including Dillian Whyte.

Whyte is actually Joshua's best opponent.. Honestly, a better trainer and more cardio (lose some chub, work on stamina) he can be a pretty good heavyweight fighter.. not top 5, but top 10 is likely

What's the problem? Martin is crap and terrible, and he did sell his belt. He had no desire to try and take AJ off his game or take him into the trenches. He came to get paid.
Whyte is a good fighter, I'd fancy him to beat any American, including Bum Squad.
