Its ****** and disrespectful to both fighters.Both have had had long careers and acheived far more than the vast majority of fighters starting out could ever hope too.Its also annoying to hear armchair pundits on here saying ****** crap about jumping on the bandwagon,new to the board,casual fan blah blah blah and other condescending nonsense.In the case of hatton,I have followed his progress since his first pro fight.would you consider that jumping on a bandwagon? Also,he has lost one fight out of 46,and that was to one of the greatest fighters ever to lace on a pair of gloves.The casual fan,or the one lacking real knowledge of the sport is the one that lurks around in the shadows only to pop up when a good fighter has lost only to say,"you see,hype job,exposed".etc. so called fans of this attitude do the sport we are supoposed to love no credit at all ,and so it nothing but harm.The banter is one thing,but these kind of idiots,to quote another"hype job" kelly pavlik,wouldnt know a left hook from a fish hook.

Good Articles stand the test of time. Good observation by the writer. On May 2, Hatton will be exposed again as an overrated fighter.

In what way? Say Hatton gets beaten by Pacquiao. He will then have lost twice, on both occasions to the #1 p4p fighter at the time. I'm struggling to see how that means he is 'overrated' unless, of course, those supposedly overrating him claimed Hatton was the p4p #1. Which nobody has... not even Hatton.

Come back if he loses fights to the likes of Bradley, Torres, Witter and Holt, which is where he would be headed if he loses to Pac, and doesn't retire. Then, you might just have a sensible point.
