          Ali couldn't beat holmes.

          Even Norton.

But Ali is still the greatest not undefeated marciano.

Pacquiao defended the 147 title at 144 too.

What a legend. So sad he's hanging them up.

What a legend. Can't believe it's over. We won't see the like of this little man from the Philippines for a long long time, probably ever. Hope I haven't ****ed up the formatting of this thread.

Great career, ATG, HOFer, but the greatest fighter since Ali? Not even close! Pretty hard to put any value into someone that thinks Pac=Duran.

This sums it up. Floyd beat him and that's great for Floyd, like it was great for Morales and Marquez but Pacquiao is better than them all. More watchable (sorry Morales), more accomplished (sorry Floyd), better all round (sorry Marquez) and ultimately, beat better opponents in more satisfying ways.

However, he is not the best fighter since Ali, that honour belongs to Leonard. I would also add in Chavez, Holyfield and possibly Hagler/Hearns. But yeah, Pacquiao is along there with some of the very, very best.

PAC is the best of this era, Floyd would admit that in a private moment.
5 time lineal and 8 divisions. Floyd knew he couldn't match that so tried to achieve other stats that nobody takes much notice of, unless you mention stats like a politician.
Floyd will innocently tell you he beat more foirmer champs or champs than anyone padding his resume with berto, Ortiz and Guerrero type champos he knew what he was doing
