I think he is a great fighter but he has beaten a lot of average middleweights such as Robert Allen twice, William Joppy etc.

What about Hopkins moving up to super middleweight and fighting Calzaghe, Hopkins is looking for a big fight, a challenge but there is non left at middleweight, Calzaghe is the same at super midd, he is now looking for a big fight at Light Heavyweight, but it looks like Johnson will fight Tarver again so he would have to wait for the winner. This could be a good match for both of them.

Hopkins vs Calzaghe what do you think?????
Good thinking. You're quite correct, he has to prove he can beat someone bigger than himself. It's all he has left to do. Plus, a match with Johnson after a match with Calzaghe would have a great back story.

Hopkins wants no part of Calzaghe, he never did.

If Hopkins can navigate Eastman, then it'll be Tito II. Taylor wont get a sniff.

Hopkins doesn't need to move up in weight to prove anything. He is a Middleweight, just like Hagler was. He was probably born 160 Fighting Calzaghe means or proves nothing. If he want no part of Joe, it has nothing to do with skill level. Hopkins can retire now and his place in history is secure. If he must continue, I figure a fight with Tito could be his swan song. I don't want him to fight Taylor at this point. Taylor is a great prospect and I would hate to see him take that beating at this point in his career. He has greatness ahead, but a Hopkins fight is too soon at this point.

Taylor could have been training to fight Hopkins instead of Eduoard if he had accepted the elimination bout against Eastman. He (or his people) didn't want it. His bad.

After Eastman, Hopkins has two PPV bouts this year and claims he wants the second one against Johnson or whoever the LHW king at the time is, with the first one being against the winner of the Wright/ Trinidad fight. Taylor may get another chance to fight Hopkins, but to do so a) he'd probably have to beat Eduoard in impressive fashion and beat a recognizable name (i.e. Felix Sturm) after that and b) Winky would have to beat Trinidad and give Tito an immediate rematch, leaving Hopkins with no other choice but to fight Taylor or seek a money fight outside of the division.
