He is the youngest of the top heavyweights. He is huge, powerful and a great puncher. He has never been down and never fails to get the KO. What's not to like?
The UK love such a fighter. Bruno was more loved then Lewis and Haye will be the most hated man in England when he knocks Joshua spark out.

AJ is a great role model, calm, extremely nice guy, gentle giant, so you can see why he's so popular, but the Americans don't like seeing a British guy over hyped, they however talk up the ability of WIlder!

I guess he could follow other "champions" - win a championship while cheery picking fights to keep his belt for that little bit longer, but the plan is quite clear for AJ. Win titles and defeat the best in the division, instead of hiding away for years.
Again, you're giving credit for things he hasn't done. That's a fan mentality and devoid of logic. Everyone talks big in this sport. I'm not impressed until they actually step up and do it.
He's Hearn managed, correct? That tells me that he'll likely be carefully handled in order to avoid top comp and look for easy opportunities like they did w/ Martin.

        Troof right here gents.

AJ is the biggest hypejob in boxing since prince Arthur was supposedly going to walk the super 6. If wilder or wlad meet AJ it's lights out and if he goes after fury or haye he gets a boxing lesson.

Haye couldn't hand out a boxing lesson to an absolute sloth in Valuev, and that was when he was much younger, fresher and lighter. He's simply not and never has been an adept boxer and looks completely hopeless against guys taller and longer than him.

Lol guy only has 16 fights and people are already accusing him of ducking everybody and unfairly labeling him a hypejob. Let the kid at least get 20 or so fights with the right opponents before he challenges the top guys.

That's fine if he wants to drop the belt. The competition he'll face will be weak & unworthy of a belt holder...like Brook

Joshua is now THE champ. His day of judgement came on saturday and he became the boss. Lacey went up for his title shot and got battered by calzaghe. How you can compare the two is beyond me. One is a winner and the yank is a loser.

You know **** about the current HW's. Joseph Parker is 24.

I am much more of a believer of Joshua than I was before Saturday. Even though I only saw a round and a half I saw some pedigree and significant improvement for the first time. He was thinking, he was using his technique and skill and not rushing and just trying to walk through Martin.

He forced Martin to come out of his shell by boxing a beautiful first round, he touched Martin up and down and made him miss, he boxed and Martin realised that he was going to be systematically taken apart unless he came out of his shell and became more aggressive, which he did in the second round. This led him to walk on to two absolute peaches, again Joshua wasn't swinging, he was thinking and they were both timing, placed, accurate shots.

The above very much impressed me, we can argue about the calibre of the fighter but you can't argue about the way Joshua did it. He is clearly still a work in progress and still needs to improve in lots of areas but he has the time to do it, he is very early in his pro career and I am now for the first time seeing glimpses of the potential people are talking about. The potential people rave about from gym stories and sparring stories. As I said before, he isn't the best heavyweight we have seen but he might be the best of this bunch. People rave about Joseph Parker, I don't think he is going to be able to do anything with Joshua. The likelihood is we see that fight within 12 months because of the mandatory situation, and I don't see Joshua having any problems but lets wait and see.

Joshua is nothing. Joshua will never be the man until he beats the man. That man is Tyson Fury.
