Likewise, half or more of Floyd's punches were credited as landed, but they never ever made any sound like Manny's, and in slow motion it is clearly evident that Manny dodged most of them with excellent head or body movement, and/or caught them with his gloves.

Pacquiao proved to be faster and more accurate than Mayweather both in offense and defense, but his problem is that he is not such a good "poser" when he lands his punches, most of the time they are so awkward that the only way to appreciate and acknowledge them is with the use of slow motion and a very good angle. Conversely, most of Floyd's pot-shot punches LOOK way more aesthetic, almost like theatrically rehearsed for maximum effect, and even if they don't actually land, IDK how he does it but in real time it LOOKS like they do land, but there's no sound to them and in slo-mo you can see that he missed, sometimes even by a few inches...

I am pretty sure that a similar story went down in both of his Maidana fights. Even in regular motion, I clearly saw Maidana dodge or catch most of those supposedly "landed" punches, and frankly Mayweather looked clumsy and old at times. In the De la Hoya fight, similar story, and even in his fight vs. Marquez as well, Marquez did actually land a lot of great combinations of three or more punches on Floyd, which were never credited to him. It doesn't matter that he was punching like a weakling because he was at least two weight divisions smaller than Floyd and in his poorest shape ever, his combinations did still land and he got no credit for them. BTW Floyd did not land a single combination of punches vs. Marquez throughout the whole fight. Just one pot-shot after the other, --many of them caught or dodged as usual-- but his theatrics were great as always, to impress the very-biased American judges.

I insist, a 2nd meeting should have no advantages for Floyd, it should not be on American soil, no American judges, no American referee, no sold-out "punch stats" by Compubox. Instead, this time let the fight take place in Asia, China for example. Use several independent, non-biased stats providers that really do take the necessary time to analyze the punch stats in slow motion and in several angles AFTER the fight ends, and also use the referee, judges, gloves, commentators, drug-testing agencies, betting houses, etc. etc. that Manny chooses, not Floyd, and then, let's see what happens... Oh and I forgot, let's see a Maanny fighting with BOTH hands as well...

But that of course is just a fantasy, the American fighter with all the financial power and clout does always dictate the terms, so if a 2nd fight would be to take place in Las Vegas again, IMO only ****** people would pay to see such a fiasco again, because I don't think Manny has the capability to knock Floyd out, with all the clinching and running involved, if he hasn't been able to knock out smaller and less super-defensive opponents for the last few years

    # Floyd is too much of a pussay to give him a rematch. Shows who really is the true Atg here.

      Learn boxing.

Controlling the pace of a round IS a scoring criteria. Of the rounds Bradley should have won, he controlled the pace and didn't let Manny get off. That was Round 1, because Manny was tentative, and Round 11, because Atlas had just screamed at him fresh off losing three points.

Effective aggression IS a scoring criteria. The keyword is EFFECTIVE. Of the rounds Bradley should have won, he was more effective than Manny in 4 rounds: Round 3, Round 5, Round 7 (before the BS slip KD) and Round 8 after he got pissed. He lost Round 7 only because of the KD. Had that not happened, it would have been a draw easy because he wouldn't have changed strategy and got caught again.

Do the math. That leaves 5 rounds for Bradley. Round 7 changed the whole fight and kudos to Manny for getting away with it.

Round 4 was perfectly even. Neither was more effective, neither was more aggressive and the pace was par-for-par. The judges gave it to Manny by default which I think is crap.

Most people who watched the fight didn't give Bradley the 11th. That's a joke. Manny was busy, but he was missing punches like crazy. That's not effective aggression.

Let's ignore the knockdowns. You end up with Bradley 115-114. Take the BS slip out and you end up with a draw - 114-114. Give the 4th to Manny but take out the two knockdowns and you still end up with a draw.

Manny Pacquiao won the fight because of the knockdowns. Beyond that, he would not have won the fight. He knew that going into round 5. Rounds 6 and 7 he went into counter and clip mode - and Bradley got caught. Bradley's emotions took over and he started making mistakes. But the point is, the fight was way closer than people are saying.

As far as TBE? I gave Manny 4 rounds in that fight. Two obvious ones, one swing round and Floyd gave away Round 12. Beyond that, it was all pace control for TBE. A rematch would go no differently than the first.

Enjoy! Pac was the true winner.

          Round 2

          Round 3

          Round 6,7,8

Seen this analysis up to round 12.

Funny how after a year none of floyds fans have a response for this lol

Video clearly shows manny outlanding floyd in most rounds; and even in rounds where he was outlanded, manny almost always lands the most significant punches.

Mind You - this is with 1 shoulder, and floyd availing of his illegal IV substances.

For once, it might be interesting to see just one reasonable counter-argument - but then again, when video evidence clearly shows what happened, its no surprise floyds fans have come up with nothing after a whole year.

honestly, the only way i could see floyd winning that fight was if you really do count clinching in your scoring criteria.

My criteria has always been first and foremost, cleaner effective punches. All that "fighting at his pace" stuff only matters if neither boxer landed cleaner punches. Havent watched the fight in a while, but i had manny winning it 8-4 or 7-5-ish.

That's why there was a precondition in my post. I'm doing this for Floyd since its him who needs to redeem himself from his vagina boxing.

No rematch needed. It is obviously a one armed healthy Pac was too much for Floyd. This fight has concluded who's the better man. Video evidence is overwhelming already.

A 2 handed healthy Pac is a nightmare scenario for Floyd, especially if a second fight happens without vegas, Bayless, USADA, and IVS on his corner.

Pac will mop this dude silly lol

But let say it ever happens, both are old.. Since we don't know how long Floyd's been using peds we can only speculate that at the age 40 his body will weaken from all that peds he used to take and might finally breakdown on that fight. As for Pac, his torn rotator cuff might tear again due to his bodies battle worn condition, hence, this fight will just be more inconclusive than the first. That is why a 2nd fight is immaterial, but if it happens off course I'll still pay to see it.

This fight should have happened in their prime, 6 years ago, and they should have done it 3 times for all the boxing fans to enjoy, but that's water under the bridge already.

What we got is this one fight. It wasn't great, but if you learn to appreciate the technicalities of what happened that night you'll learn to appreciate what truly transpired.

              # Pac should retire already, but if Floyd wants to fight for all the marbles and to seal his legacy. Pac is his only way

              # uncle roger knows Floyd didn't conclude anything that night.
Floyd doesn't need to redeem himself when every important reporter/news outlet had him winning and HBO crew just said last night that Mayweather schooled Manny. Sorry Mayweather doesn't need to redeem himself for you because of some guy who made an investigation in slow motion.

MANNY PACQUIAO DROPS TIMOTHY BRADLEY TWICE, WINS DOMINATE DECISION. STAGE SET FOR A FLOYD MAYWEATHER JR REMATCH?
                1
SUBMITTED BY JENNA J ON SUN, 10 APRIL 2016, 03:04

Saturday night at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada, Manny Pacquiao returned once again to the ring to have the rubber match with former 2 division world champion Timothy Bradley. Pacquiao was coming off a competitive decision loss to Floyd Mayweather Jr. and also a nearly one year lay off after shoulder surgery. Bradley came into the fight on a win streak and a lot of buzz surrounding his decision to enlist Teddy Atlas as his new trainer. The relationship with Atlas was a hot topic coming into the fight as in their first fight together, Bradley scored an impressive victory over Brandon Rios.

Going into the fight the odds makers had Pacquiao as a slight favorite, but the odds had narrowed in recent weeks with more and more people buying into the trainer-fighter combination of Bradley and Atlas being the difference in the third bout. At 37 years of age, Manny Pacquiao was possibly entering the ring for the final time and was hoping to add one final signature win to his legendary boxing career.
The fight started slow, as for the first three rounds, neither boxer really took command of the fight and not many shots were landed. Bradley was trying to counter of Pacquiao’s attacks, but was not throwing enough to throw him off of his game plan. Bradley was having a good round five and was starting to have more success but then lost focus in the final minute, allowing ‘Pac Man’ to steal the round.
While Pacquiao started this fight slower than the previous two, he picked up his work rate in the middle rounds and started to take control of the fight and a lead on the score cards. The seventh round had one of the biggest moments of the fight, as in a close round, Pacquiao gave himself separation as he scored an off balance knockdown. Bradley was not hurt by the shot and quickly got to his feet and finished the round.
The eighth round saw Bradley rebound in the fight and briefly hurt Pacquiao with a flurry of shots that had Manny up against the ropes. The round reinvigorated ‘Desert Storm’ who was falling quickly on the score cards. The ninth round brought about the biggest moment in the fight, as Bradley who was attacking aggressively found himself on the receiving end of a huge counter left hand shot by Pacquiao that stunned him and saw him hit with a follow up punch that put him down and had him rolling over backwards to get up. Bradley got up and recovered to finish out the round.
After the tenth round, Teddy Atlas did his best to motivate Bradley, saying he just wanted to see the best Bradley had left for the final six minutes, to which Bradley responded, as he took the eleventh round and made for a competitive final round. After the final bell sounded and the scorecards were read, all three judges were in agreement and scored the bout 116-112 for Manny Pacquiao.

With the win, Manny Pacquiao had once again successfully returned to the boxing ring and showed even though he is 37 years old, he is still on top of his game. In a talent filled division with a lot of fighters holding title belts, Pacquiao set himself apart from the rest and established himself as the best in weight class. In light of Floyd Mayweather’s retirement from boxing, if Pacquiao chooses to hold off on retiring, he has a lot of interesting possible fights going forward.
The fight being talked about most now, is a potential fight with Mexican boxing star Canelo Alvarez. Alvarez faces Amir Khan on May 7th, but if he is able to come through with a win there and turns down a Gennady Golovkin fight, then a fight with Pacquiao will make financial sense. But with Canelo being a much bigger fighter physically, some would see that fight as a miss match, even if it is fought at a catch weight.
The next fight if any for Pacquiao is a question that might get answered if the retired Floyd Mayweather shows interest in a comeback. While Mayweather did retire in September after a victory over Andre Berto, a rematch with Pacquiao is still a marketable fight. If Floyd is willing to have a second fight with Pacquiao, then “Pac Man” would most certainly put off retirement for another huge payday.
With Manny Pacquiao looking good in his return, and his repaired shoulder holding up in the fight, a rematch with Mayweather would still be a box office hit, one many fans would hope could out do the first and produce more action. On the other side of things, Timothy Bradley came up short once again with Manny Pacquiao and took some big shots.
The training relationship with him and Atlas did not produce the results either were looking for, but still, Bradley lost to one of the best fighters of this generation and it just seems that Pacquiao has his number. Bradley will likely look to return to the ring again and at only 32 years old, he still is one of the best welterweights in the world, one that is capable of beating any of the other champions in the weight class.
The future of both fighters is not clear, but being that these two fighters have been involved in fights together for almost four years, it is good to see the trilogy end with a clear winner and no controversy. This fight series will not be remembered for the action in any of the fights and will not be thought of as a great trilogy, but it was still a pairing of two of the best at the weight and Manny Pacquiao undoubtedly proved to be the better fighter. If this was Pacquiao’s last fight, he went out like the true champion his is and the all-time great fighter he has been.
