Six names that make Hearn drool

    Briggs
    Chisora
    Chagaev
    Glazkov
    Hughie Fury
    Antonio Tarver

Hearn would love these guys for Joshua. I wanted to make a poll but couldn't figure out how to do it. Are any of these fighters good matches for Joshua? Who would you choose?

If those are the only options, Dereck Chisora is the only one that makes any sense (name in Britain/Europe, rated by the IBF in their top 15, durable enough guy, Showtime wouldn't be opposed to airing the fight for SHO International, etc).

Tarver's got a drug suspension, Glazkov's got a busted knee, and Chagaev has his L and that drug testing stuff hanging over him, cutting things down to three options.

I guess you're right about glazkov, not sure exactly what the injury was and when he'll be ready. Tarver is out for awhile as well. Chagaev I still think Hearn would love. He could spin it to seem Chagaev was out of shape and unmotivated for Browne(another potential Joshua opponent) but Chagaev is in the best shape ever for Joshua!

I think you have a worse opinion of Eddie Hearn then what actually exists; Eddie Hearn will try to sell you back your own underwear, but he doesn't have too much history of running with utter **** fights (he'll definitely oversell a fight if need be).

Anthony Joshua is literally on the seeming cusp of crossing over to the general British public(beyond just sports) and the world at large; Eddie Hearn isn't going to screw that up by putting him in with a guy like Chagaev, especially after the Browne performance (which was aired in the UK).

If anything, I see Eddie Hearn looking at Lucas Browne as an option for Joshua (promoted by Ricky Hatton with his fights being aired in the UK, imposing looking heavyweight, performance in recent fights has made it clear that he's likely not a world beater, about as imposing a look as you could bring in for a fight).

Same level of risk, likely same result, but with a showdown that Hearn can goose even further to the broader sports public.

If Chisora beats pulev (which would be a good win) i'd expect that next
