If GGG would have this resume...

If GGG would have fought these guys already:

Sturm, Martinez, Lee, Chavez Jr, Jacobs, Canelo, Saunders.

What would you say about his resume?

    Good? Bad?

Would you keep insisting that the MW division suck? or would you say that there's a guy that is a level above the rest?

It's pretty easy to tell that he would have beaten all of them. Thus why they ran from him. Martinez is the only case in which I give the benefit of doubt. Obviously a healthy martinez. The one that fought Williams and Pavlik.

So, in GGG's case, it doesn't matter, because as Ward said in 2013, all these guys don't want to face him, and it's not his fault. The fact that all the top MW's have avoided him in the last 6 or 7 years tell you all that you have to know. And the way he beats his opponents. All by KO, barely losing any round in his entire career. He's just too good, he is OFF THE CHARTS as Sergio Martinez said.

This is the era where ducking is not only rewarded it's defended by the so called fans of the sport and the one being ducked is blamed.

Don't forget he was signed to fight another guy not many people wanted to fight, Dmitry Pirog. That was supposed to be his HBO debut fight but unfortunately Pirog pulled out due to injury. But Golovkin only wants to fight bums tho

You never know TBH, and it's not his fault. He Maravilla didn't want to face him in 2011 and 2012, when he was still healthy. I don't blame him avoiding GGG in 2013 and 2014 since he had shot legs at that point.

So you can't say that he would have lost to Maravilla... Maravilla himself tells you that GGG is off the charts, what does it mean? to me it's like Sergio saying that he would have lost against him, or that it would be a very close fight.

And this is being written by a big Sergio's fan here...

And there's no such thing as 155 division... Canelo is a heavy MW, he fights around 175lbs and GGG goes around 168-170lbs, so you are saying that Canelo should weaken GGG in order to win, which tells you a lot about the outcome of this fight at 160. Sergio said regarding this possible match, that GGG is too much for Canelo and that they won't feed GGG Canelo.

Everyone wants to fight tough fights in the beginning of their career when you have nothing to lose. Then you an a-side diva.

we don't even see that anymore, look at Crawford and Santa Cruz. They just get paid millions for fighting nobodies and already divas without putting in the work

Sturm, Chavez Jr were ****. Lee is no better as he lost to Chavez Jr and Vera. And Chavez Jr lost to Vera at 170lbs. the version of Vera from 2008 to 2013 that upset Lee, Dzinzuruk, Mora, and *should have* upset Chavez Jr but got robbed, is IMO better than Sturm, Lee and Chavez Jr. Speaking of Vera, Vera has a bunch of losses, but in my eyes he had 9 notable fights in his career two of them being rematches of guys he already beat, and he won 5 of them. He went 5 for 7 against his best opponents, that to me is a good fighter regardless of your record. It should also be noted that he Boone because of the hard time Boone gave other elites.

Canelo, Saunders, and Jacobs are better and would be good names on GGG's resume.

"154-168" all filled with bums and therefore staying at 160 is the smartest thing since sliced bread!

It would be a goodish resume. It wouldn't justify the hype. These days the hype is sold on everyone is ducking. Even when Martinez was champ the MW division was not stacked but at least the hype was not over the top or based on ducking. Martinez himself was ducked at 154 but moved up when he couldn't even get his mandatory shot against Forrest.
