Fury v Klitschko II - Live on Boxnation

Man, I'm disappointed by this for 2 reasons: 1) I don't sub to the channel and 2) their production quality is terrible compared to HBO and Sky, heck even Show are better.

Having said that, they are now the clear leaders and Skys deal with Eddie Hearn has not only cut their pockets but given them a small, stale stable to work with. If the leading sports broadcaster can't even showcase the fight for THE heavyweight championship of the world. Sky got pie on their face.

I'm thinking of doing it now. Only thing is its an extra 15 quid a month.

Also, I've seen several broadcasts and I can't stand that donkey Bunce and his cronies, plus the production values are absolute ****.

That is a bit of a coup for Warren, I can see him getting some real momentum with Khan-Canelo and now this. That is a huge fight to get, heavyweight championship at prime UK time. Fair play.

Just shows you how big Anthony Joshua is, the reason Sky didn't pick it up is because they expect Joshua will be out again in July on PPV.

An unproven fighter keeping Fury v Klitschko off sky, madness.

That's Hearn logic, not reality. It would be ridiculous if this wast he reason.

The real reason is that Hearns deal with sky has ****** them dry. It's a horrible, horrible exclusive deal with mediocre (at best) saturday night fights which come about once every few months (although last 2 weeks we've had them but that won't last long). Seriously, some of these cards are so bad I cant bare to sit through them and i love this sport.

Gotta agree with this. Go back 18 months and boxnation/warren looked like they were getting hammered now they are the go to channel for boxing.

                  Fair enough, makes sense.

I did wonder if Sky were apprehensive about putting money into other fights due to their deal with Hearn.

It seems strange how they didn't pick up Klitschko v Fury rematch or Khan v Canelo. I don't think either will do massive numbers but they're still massive fights in the world of boxing and still do bigger numbers and generate more money than pretty much all Matchroom events apart from AJ. You don't just give up business to your nearest rival in terms of broadcasting boxing if there's money to be made. I know you can't show every fight but these fights are 2 of the biggest this year in boxing and involving British fighters, you would think they might make an effort to secure it.

BoxNation is showing way better fights these days. Well worth the subscription.

Did you see the first fight? Why would they want that trash on their channel when they have their own exciting heavyweight champ? Joshua is the biggest name in the UK.
