what has he done to make people think hes p4p over conzalghe or hatton or Klitch...with his last fight putting most people to sleep and his uncle even making more noise than him why should he be p4p the best ?..anybody got a reason?..cause he really dont look like p4p best maybe in his division if he keeps ducking top rated opposition but other than that...why?

Oh I'm sure I can find a reason or two. If I'm not mistaken, Calzaghe and Hatton have each only competed at one weight. If you want to be p4p doing that, you have to dominate your division for YEARS. Calzaghe, I suppose, has reigned over his division, though he hasn't exactly taken on all comers. Calzaghe and Hatton combined have 3 standout wins. Mayweather has about 6-7. Mayweather has also won titles in 4 different divisions in very one-sided fashion most fights. Should I keep going? -
He already has just about the best record in boxing hands down....well....Oscar's is pretty good too but nonetheless. Plus he's yet to lose a fight. I'm getting sick of his choice of opponents as of late though, and he needs to take bigger challenges.
But you can't take anything away from what he's already achieved. Just to name some names: Castillo, Corrales, Chavez, Hernandez, Corley, Ndou, etc.
Solid comp for an undefeated fighter.

hatton beat kostya and maussa. also good ****.
mayweather has beaten judah, corrales, castillo, hernandez, mitchell, corley, among others.
calzaghe and hatton seem to be the real deal, but they seriously havent done as much as mayweather. though a "what has he done lately" argument makes sense.Comment

Can't pull the "what have you done for me lately" **** because Roy Jones was considered p4p best for a decade after beating Toney and not dropping until Tarver knocked him out and we all know Roy fought exactly zero solid opponents between the two. You could stretch and call Ruiz a good opponent even though he was handpicked by Roy.Comment

Whatever. I'm still pissed off that he passed up the biggest paycheck of his entire career to fight Tony.
That was ridiculous.
