Defense and movement, and ring control yes. Some offense yes. Rigo loops too much to be considered superior offensively to the very straight accurate punching mayweather.

You people make me laugh you think its so easy when its the hardest thing in the world to do , whats easy is to have a big punch and hope you land it but to shut down a truck load of great fighters and beat them in the process is incredibly hard to do , the science of boxing is beautiful when executed at the highest level .
FACT is Mayweather is punch-hold and duck -hold. If that is science to you haha ok. But I don't know of ANY all-time great Iwho fought that way. Not Louis, Robinson, Leonard, Duran, Hearns, Hagler, RJJ, etc. Ali at times would do it but man just watch his fights with Frazier and Foreman. Not at all punch-hold and duck-hold like Floyd Mayweather, Jr.

Anyone that says Mayweather held all the time exposes themselves as the casual bandwagon fan they really are, just repeating **** they see/hear others say. There's only 2 fights where Mayweather held more than you'll see in the average fight. Watch more fights, study and learn casual.

Lol been watching boxing regularly since Duan-Leonard 1. There's youtube. Just watch Mayweather's most recent fights and that of the greats. Mayweather, Rigondeaux, John Ruiz, W. Klitschko are punch-hold and duck-hold which you guys call spoiling. True greats just don't do that. Barrera, Morales and Marquez did not do that. Ironically Mayweather who is bigger than all three did.

And which two fights are those? Against Pacquiao his own Dad told him he was fighting scared. Bandwagon? Discuss the issues don't attack the messenger.

Mayweather only held about 12 times in the whole Pacquiao fight, that's less than you see in most fights. ****ing casual.

              • Mayweather critics might say things like "all he does is run and hug" but deep down inside they know he's the real deal. They recognize if it was that easy anyone could do it.

At least I hope they do.

I agree. Golovkins' name isn't warranted when it calls for the best in the last 25 years. He just hasn't faced enough top level fighters. Don't get me wrong, Golovkin is good but we are still in the dark on how good he really is. Not until he faces the best multiple times, will he be measured. In the mean time he is left out from this topic.

You see what you want to see.

And yes even casuals see what huggers do. They simply ask why so much holding and breaks by the ref. And when they see fights with no excessive holding they appreciate it. Yeah effing casuals. You are better than them. Lol.

                      You're right.
