These type of questions are unfair to Castillo and the more proven fighters because we have not seen GGG versus an elite. It's also unfair to GGG until we see him in with someone of that caliber. My initial reaction to the question was yes, maybe he could. After all, he had like 350 amateur fights, and only lost 5 times, 345-5. So yeah I think it's possible, especially if they meet at their best, instead of something like Lomachenko vs Salido which was not Loma at his best professionally, and it was Salido at his best as a veteran. Like mid-career Golovkin the one right now, versus mid-career Castillo or 2002 prime Castillo ranked #1 at LW, GGG may have taken that I think. We won't know for sure until Canelo fights GGG, or GGG fights DeGale or that caliber type of fighter.

I think GGG would win by KO. Castillo came to fight. He was an aggressive come forward fighter who threw lots of punches. That's perfect for a two handed bomber with an iron jaw. GGG also has a great left jab going for him.
