Canadians are just as good athletes as the rest of the world, Sports come down to funding at a grassroots level. If the system is in place then the youth will be able to achieve. Canada puts a lot of time and $ in hockey that's why Canadians have the best hockey players. They started putting $ in Winter Olympics they came in 3rd 4th in the medal haul which for country the size of Canada is impressive. Same with every other country that puts $ , attention in certain sports that's how you get results.

As far as Lemiuex he didn't quit he was outclassed he was fighting a fighter who is levels beyond What Lemiuex is or ever will be , he fought till it got stopped because he was getting a f.ucking beating, he showed heart. Do Mexicans not have heart because Rubio quit like a b.itch as soon as he felt GGG power and was so heartless even the tin man in wizard of Oz would be embarrassed ?

Canadians dominate hockey, physically probably the hardest sport of the major 5 team sports in North America. Are Americans pu$$y because most NBa players take a week off if someone stares at them too long and might take 3 months off if they twist a ankle. Are Europeans b.itches because most soccer players take a dive if someone comes with in 3 feet of them?
Bro honestly nobody even cares about hockey
Canada is mediocre at baseball, basketball and soccer

The same reason that Canada doesn't produce as many pro football and basketball players as the U.S. Boxing is not as popular in Canada as it is in the U.S. Hockey, and to a lesser extent, soccer, are much more popular sports in Canada.

Bro honestly good job on making back to back ret@rded posts

Hockey's the 4th most popular team sport in the states and generates billions of dollars a year. Hockey gets more coverage, more fans and has a TV contracts boxing only can dream of. so obviously people care. What the f.uck does that say about bout boxing

Popularity wise Hockey compared to boxing is like comparing boxing to badminton.

Yeah Canada doesn't do well in baseball, soccer & basketball because they aren't really popular sports and don't get the investment and has 1/10th the population of the States

But the States aren't sh.it in soccer either so why bring that up , have what 35-45% MLB players and continue to decline due to Hispanic players and had a 30 year head start as far as development in B-Ball.

You think it's a coincidence that the Raptors came to Toronto 20 years ago. B-ball became cool and accessible to the youth. They started to develop and invest in a grassroots program for the youth and now you have ,Bennett & Wiggins being drafted #1 back to back, Cory Joseph , Triston Thompson , Nik Stausus , Tyler Ennis making it to the pros all from the greater Toronto area and a bunch more in the pipeline.

Because there is only one province that cares about boxing and that's Quebec. Athletes from Quebec aren't exactly embraced by the rest of Canada. No one outside of Quebec knows who Stevenson, Bute or Pascal are. That's why I laugh when people say Canada is a hot bed for boxing. No, Montreal is a hot bed for boxing. Quebec City is a hot bed. Toronto is not. Ottawa is not, and Vancouver is definitely not. They just don't care about it because there hasn't been a great anglophone boxer from Canada In several years. You'd have to back to Donny Lalonde and he wasn't even that good. The only ones you see on TV are Frenchies from Quebec. Lennox Lewis had an opportunity to represent Canada in his pro career but decided to represent GBR.

Actually Canada has the second most players in the NBA. Out of nowhere a bunch of guys have made the NBA and not all are journeyman big guys like most were before this wave of players.

Well done on the 3 peat of Ret@rded posts

You don't even have a decent rebuttal to anything I write , just blah blah blah avoid topic you guys are clowns , idiots and hockey sucks. Does Rugby not mean anything , What about cricket. I guess American football means nothing too because outside of the States no one gives a sh.it

Are you from San JOse California ? If so you should become a fan of hockey because it's the only major sport that was generous enough to give your piece of sh.it city a franchise and it's pretty decent Couture, Pavelski,Thorton, Marleau are all thugs

Your going to pound your chest and proud because the States qualify for the World Cup, really that's what your going to hang your hat on, never doing sh.it while in it , Celebrating 20th place isn't very American.

The states only started to get respectable at soccer on the World stage because they won the World Cup bid in 1994 and started pouring a bunch of time , $ and resources into being respectable and not be embarrassed in their home country before that they hadn't qaulified for like 30-40 years, plus there's only 2 respectable counties in the Concacaf ( States & Mexico ) to qaulify the rest are 2nd tier like Canada, Jamaica , Barbados , Belize and don't pose much of a threat.
