Yep and that's going to burn the actual lineal champ Fury ... But you know what his dull boring boxing style and idiotic jaysus talk means no one gives a toss in his actual home country so he needs AJ if he wins not the other way round.

Fury would struggle to sell out his local campsite on the strength of his own name face facts.

At least Frampton & Quigg were the #2 and #3 in their division, these two bums are barely top 10.

Whoever wins on Saturday should hand the belt back to the rightful lineal champ.
Because it was neither of their fault this happened. Kathy Duva and Glazkov are the ones who ducked Wilder by asking the IBF to strip Fury so that they can pull out of negotiations for Wilder and fight for a vacant belt.

If you want to blame someone for Fury getting stripped then you are barking at the wrong tree son.

Martin was next up in line and had no choice but to fight Glazkov as was mandated by the IBF after they stripped Fury. If he didn't then you clowns would have been the first ones to accuse him of ducking Glazkov.

Martin is a warrior at heart though and doesn't want to hold on to a paper title, which is why he is making his first title defense against a top heavyweight like Joshua, who many also see as the future and saviour of boxing.

Beating Joshua legitimises the title for Martin, no one can call him a paper champ anymore if he beats a top heavyweight like Joshua.

It's the same reason Stirvirne fought Wilder. It was in an attempt to legitimise his paper title by beating a guy everyone else seemed to be ducking, a guy who was hailed as America's next big thing and had an olympic medal, also knocking everyone out that he faced before.

Of course it backfired for Stirvirne and it might for Martin too, but you can't take away from these guys for at least trying to legitimise their titles instead of pulling an Adrien Broner-Theopane.

Its not the first bs belt, its not the last bs belt. It is what it is.

I can't hate on Martin & now Joshua for taking advantage of a situation presented to them. This is an everyone for themselves sport. Martin & Joshua are just doing what anyone else would be doing & are doing in other ways.

If you take the belt out of it then it's a good fight, 2 unbeaten guys both taking a step up.

Everyone knows Fury is the no1 guy at HW,

who takes these belts seriously anyway these days ?

You're right, even more so when it comes to casual boxing fans.

I think everyone knows it's a joke being a title fight and they're not really considering Martin a champ, or Joshua if he wins. They're not avoiding anybody as such. They're just unproven guys on their journey, one of which has been fortunate to end up in a vacant title fight in which he got a belt. The other has taken an opportunity to fight this "champ" because it can make a lot of money. No real boxing fans are under the illusion either of these guys are considered the real champ at HW so it's not really worth taking seriously as a title fight.

Frampton v Quigg bothered people because there's another guy in the division neither wanted to fight. Neither has an excuse not to because they were both considered two of the best in the division.

They are completely different situations, it doesn't take a lot of intelligence to understand that.

Uhm.... there is nothing to be outraged about.

You do realize Mike Tyson got his first heavyweight title shot against a guy who got embarrassed by S.T Gordon, right?

Martin and Joshua aren't doing the same here.
I literally scratched my head when I saw the comparison and was about to say the same **** before I saw your post. It's not the same at all.

What good would it do to get outraged? Anybody who knows boxing knows Fury is the real champ. This just a fight for a belt and not for the real heavyweight title. It's an interesting fight and a good test for Joshua who may fight the real champ later on.
