No shyt. I was quoting the imbecile who said Povetkin refused testing, I think he was a Wilder fan not wanting Povetkin to take the fight really, dude is in fear.

Great the fighters are being PED testing a month & a day or two before the fight As long as these guys never used certain PEDs before a month & a day or two ago & had possible lifelong changes made to their body this fight should be a level playing field lol.

Only in boxing does anyone thinks this sorta testing matters much. There needs to be 24/7/365 testing for PED testing to matter. The upside to PEDs isn't just noticeable in the weeks leading up to the fight.

I agree. How long ago were Canelo and Khan announced testing?! This article states "plan to use" so when? Have begun is different than plan. They prolonged VADA in the first place, therefore all those in this thread saying VADA is so legit then clearly they themselves don't find it odd that Povetkin's organization stalled the process. Lol

People need to make up their minds.

          Go team USA!

does it give deontay enough time to cycle? they should have passports from the start of their career, Otherwise its pointless.
Its like saying that Lucas Browne would knowingly take a burner a week before a non weight restricted fight, when he was aware he would be tested, utterly ridiculous.

He doesn't have to take it, the WBC have yet to make their VADA testing mandatory, or even define what the rules are regarding it. Its just an idea atm sadly..

VADA have to use WADA-affiliated labs and teams to conduct their work as per their own policy. It's a massive grey area as to whether this satisfy's a national commissions requirements to have WADA-tested athletes there (in law). In practice though, we see fighters tested in respectable and reputable labs with a reputable agency.

Surprised there were no arguments or disagreements here, good stuff

This is something the ABC bodies could collectively afford to implement for the fights they sanction (fighters in their top 15)

Its not even up for discussion, and I wonder why..

Everybody can make VADA testing more than a month out except GGG. And Roman Gonzalez never tests. Strange

Don't see them ever moving on it until there's a death in the ring at the hands of a doped fighter. And even then you would need the mainstream media to pay attention long enough for real pressure to build.
