Comments Thread For: Hearn: Joshua Win Would Make Him Major Sports Star in The

ANTHONY JOSHUA can become one of Britain's biggest sports stars if he beats Charles Martin. That is the view of his promoter Eddie Hearn, who believes the heavyweight hope can be as huge as David Beckham and Jessica Ennis.

Martin is going to need a knockout to win. Don't see him getting a decision.

Doubt he could legitimately win a decision anyway.

In a fairly called contest that would probably be his best strategy for winning, actually. He doesn't seem like a huge power puncher.

He's got some sneaky power. But I haven't seen him display any skills that tells me he could outpoint Joshua over 12 rounds.

But obviously, we don't know before Saturday.

How on earth does AJ get 8mill?
from the gate at the O2 and PPV they can only be looking at 15-17mill tops, then other tv deals and sponsers bring it upto 20-22mill. Pay fighters and promotion, Martin must only be on 1.5mill.

WAR Joshua!! If Joshua knock Martin out, Joshua vs Haye is inevitable and would make tons of money.

He's already a PPV mainstay in the UK, if he wins a world title on Saturday night he will go to another level. He's on the verge of being a megastar.

I would imagine it comes close to 800-1mil buys. There's a lot of money to go around and with his new management deal, I'm sure he's getting that sweet % of PPV cut.

But yeah, £8million in your 16th fight.

Jesus. that must be a record of some sort.
