Comments Thread For: Espinoza hopes Anthony Joshua can become SHO's new Tyson

Both Anthony Joshua and his promoter Eddie Hearn have spent the early parts of fight week making Mike Tyson comparisons. Joshua has suggested that his performance against Charles Martin on Saturday in their IBF heavyweight title bout will be reminiscent of Iron Mike's thrashing of Trevor Berbick. Hearn went so far as to say Joshua was the closest thing he'd seen to Tyson offensively since the Hall of Famer hung 'em up.

The hype behind this guy is completely unwarranted. It's totally absurd that I keep hearing these Berbick Tyson comparisons. Similar to Berbick Tyson? This fight is going to be more like Witherspoon vs Bruno.

            Big Josh demolishes Tyson IMO.

Why is Espinoza backing a British-based Nigerian over an American heavyweight champion anyway?

              Hit a nerve did I ?

Guilt is a terrible emotion. You just keep telling yourself that she 'deserved it'.

              Wanker.

I would have to agree he has explosive power and has the second least rnds in 16 fights only to Tyson _Hes not as refined in the 16 fights but he has more options because he can use the long jab without needing to go on the inside. I believe Hearn is also referancing how fast he finishes fights not exactly style . If the internet was around in the 80's everyone would be saying how over hyped Tyson was just like Joshua .They would have unlimited access to break him down. What made Tyson the mythical figure was when he showed up fight night and the clips you would see of him crushing someone only when the t.v showed it.Now everyone can be a critique ,look up records ,look up any fight ,etc ,etc .Boxing fans are much smarter today because so.

Tyson would eat AJ for lunch (and his children too).
