The main one that sticks out in my head is Floyd vs. Chico (RIP). Also, I think Naz was a 2-1 favorite against Barrera going into their fight.

What are some other examples of fights that were seen by most as just about 50-50 where one guy got outclassed?

Bute was the favourite while getting smashed by Froch.

          Kessler maybe, def not AA.

The most obvious choice in recent years is Oscar v Pac. Boxing experts and fans were calling for a boycott of the PPv and saying Pac was only taking the fight for the money.

            Froch-Bute and Calzaghe-Lacy stand out.

Seen as tight fights and the two favourites going in were demolished.

came here to say this. I remember a lot of people thought Lacy was gonna kill Calzaghe because of the opposition he was facing at the time and he put on a master class performance and really ruined Jeff Lacy who was a legit contender at the time.

                Good call
