      this fight is an example of a sleazy promoter (hearne) throwing his fighter to the dogs to make a quick few bucks

        So wilder says that AJ is stepping up. Well it only took wilder 30 plus fights to step up. The bloke is a tool.

            No it's not. Joshua did not have to take this fight. Hearn asked him if he wanted the fight and Joshua said yes. Nobody put a gun to his head. It is pretty early in Joshua's career to go for a world title but given it's the IBF title, held by virtually unknown and untested Martin, it's a great opportunity for Joshua to not only beat a fringe contender in Martin (forget about the title) but add another unbeaten scalp to his record.

            Would you rather he wait until he's fought 30 bums before he takes a risk?
            I would think most fans would find it refreshing that you have a highly touted prospect/contender in Joshua who is willing to take the steps to achieve greatness so early in his career.
