  • Comments Thread For: Adrien Broner Willing To Face Danny Garcia in 147 Return

As previously reported, former four division world champion Adrien Broner (32-2, 24KOs) is planning to return to the welterweight limit of 147-pounds. Broner made a jump from 135 to 147 in 2013 and won a twelve round split decision over Paulie Malignaggi to capture the WBA welterweight crown. But in the fall of the same year he suffered his first career defeat when Marcos Maidana dropped him twice to win a twelve round decision.

    ... OK, OK...

... it would be interesting -- but it's a pity that Broner can't move his head.

That's a better fight then fighting floyd. Broner lost twice against 147 guys and beat a couple bums at 140 that should not warrant a fight with floyd. Neither Danny or Broner has proven much at 147. Broner has lost to better fighters and Danny has fought washed up weak opponents at 147. Fight each other. I got Danny winning he at least cleaned out 140. Broner was a paper champ at 140.

Broner is 1-2 (arguably 0-3) at welterweight.
Might not be a good move on his part.

            Garcia would beat Broner handily.

Who knows if this fight will ever happen but it took broners career to be in shambles before Al Haymon would even consider putting these 2 overated chumps in the ring against each other. They shouldve fought already.

If Bob Arum is still game...

I wouldn't mind seeing Bradley/Broner after Bradley retires Manny like he did Rios. You've got two guys, neither with real knockout power, one who comes forward but can defend, one who stays away but can attack. I'd buy it
